Who is eligible?
Library cards can be issued to any person living in or owning property in the City of Hart, and to residents of Hart, Crystal, Elbridge, and Weare Townships.
Non-resident cards may be issued to persons living in Grant, Pentwater, Shelby, and Walkerville, and to residents of Mason County. Non-resident cardholders are able to check out physical materials, but cannot access ebooks and digital audiobooks. Student cards are available for any minor who attends school in Hart.
Residents of Golden, Newfield, or Greenwood Townships are not eligible for a library card. For more information please see the Golden Township Contract Response Limited Services statement.

Eligible persons may sign up for a library card at the HAPL front desk by presenting a photo ID and proof of address.
