The Hart Area Public Library (HAPL) houses over 21,000 physical books with nearly 2,000 new titles added annually, ensuring bestselling books are available with minimal wait times. Our diverse collection includes 1,600 DVDs available for free rental, large print books, and audiobooks on CD. Local history buffs can access digitized Oceana County newspapers dating from 1880-2005 and browse local history resources.
In addition to our in-house collection, patrons have access to online resources such as educational tools for all ages, job training resources, health information, ebooks, and more through the Michigan eLibrary. All you need is your library card!

HAPL Library Cards are free and available to residents and property owners in the City of Hart or Hart, Crystal, Elbridge, and Weare Townships.
