New this month at the Hart Library is a free basic personal finance class presented by certified financial coach and Faith and Finances Facilitator Bob Gray. This course will consist of three ninety-minute sessions and will cover planning, saving, ending debt and investing. Call the library to reserve your spot. Classes will be held on Thursday April 23, April 30, and May 7 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the library conference room. This is a great no-pressure opportunity to improve your skills!
Our free Movie for Grown-Ups this month is a new release thriller rated PG-13. Free popcorn and bottled water are provided by the Friends of the Library. Join us on Monday, April 6th at 4pm in the Hart Community Center.
Our free Seed Library still has a great selection available! Seed packets are limited to three per household while supplies last. We currently have many packets of calendula, a beautiful flower as well as a medicinal herb, through the Michigan Seed Libraries One Seed One State program.
Children ages 8 and up are invited to a Kids’ Book Club diorama making on Tuesday, April 7th at 3:30 p.m. Registration is required. Can’t make it on Tuesday? The Hart Library has free drop-in activities for kids including popular perler (fuse) beads as well as scavenger hunts!
Adults are invited to Crafternoons for Grown-Ups at 2 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month (April 23). This month’s free activity will be painting a canvas bag with your choice of stencil. All supplies are included, and registration is required. Additionally, Crafty Crew will meet April 16 at 4 p.m., offering a relaxed space to work on personal craft projects together.
Preschool Story Time is held every Friday at 11 a.m. year-round. Designed for children ages 2–5, this engaging program includes stories and a weekly activity. Families can also enjoy a new indoor book walk of “A Parade of Elephants” by Kevin Henkes through April 18.
