About Us

The Hart Area Public Library is located in Oceana County in Michigan. Our direct service area is the City of Hart and Hart Township, as well as Crystal, Elbridge, and Weare Townships.

Our Mission

The Hart Area Public Library is committed to supporting and enhancing the community by providing access to information, literature and ideas. Our mission is focused on quality resources, excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere built on a foundation of fiscal responsibility.

Library Board of Trustees

The library is governed by a Board of Trustees from Hart Township and the City of Hart. The trustees meet the second Monday of the month at 6:00 pm in the library meeting room.

The Hart Area Public Library Board normally meets on the second Monday of the month at 6pm in the library conference room. Please confirm the meeting date. Public comment is limited to three minutes per person.
